Heater Installation on GZU7, a 1932 20/25hp Mulliners Ltd of Birmingham Sports Saloon by Trachsel Jonas, Switzerland

This article follows a thread on the message board on 16 January 2006

It was quite difficult to "shoot" some decent pictures, it was so dark in the garage (no lights) that I saw nothing in the view finder of the camera. I had to aim the camera approximately in the direction of where I thought was what I had in mind to document. Looking at the pictures I must say I erred writing in my post of 17 Jan, that the tubes are nickel plated. They are painted black. What I had in mind as nickel plated tubes are for the oil filter kit.

The heater installation of my 20/25 hp as it was before restoration, with these ugly hoses as a contrast to the neat installation with the black tubes
General view of installation on offside of the engine. You have to look carefully to notice this installation, when not pointed to it
Take-off at rear of cylinder head with summer/winter tap
Heater under dash. There is a take-off at the rear to attach to a defroster, but there are no warm air exit slots at the base of the windshield
Neat installation at firewall
Return pipe from heater connects to a T in the waterpump inlet pipe
