"Chinese Eye" book - Howard Cox

For the last 18 months I have been contacting owners of RR&B "Chinese Eye" cars world wide with the intention of producing the first book dedicated solely to this model and have made contact with more than 150 owners of the circa 400 cars produced. It has proved to be a much bigger task than I originally thought and would urge any owners wishing to have their car included to contact me at howardc2@virginmedia.com or telephone +44 (0)1446 451192.

I require as a minimum the chassis number and one main colour photo of the car (any format). A huge bonus would be a further two (or more) photos eg. interior, engine etc. Plus as much data, history, alterations, additions as you may wish to include. Credits will be given for all submissions, and privacy will be respected for those not wishing publicity - but PLEASE PLEASE submit your car for inclusion to enable a complete register.
Planned format is one page per car, so there's plenty of space to include any and all relevant details.
May I ask that you please pass on this request to any owners you may know of these Rolls Royce and Bentley cars, but please note:- just the series 3 "Chinese Eye" versions.

My grateful thanks to all who can be of assistance.

This is my 1965 Rolls Royce "Chinese Eye" Convertible, chassis number SGT623C which I've owned for the last two years.
I purchased the car from Rodney Neale, well known RR collector and club member from the South of England.
Previous caretakers have included two titled owners and reportedly Miss Gloria Swanson the American silent actress of the 20's.
The car spent some considerable time in America before returning to the UK during the 1980's.
