1934 20/25 is GYD44 with Freestone & Webb coachwork
- Richard Coombs. Washington Pa, USA

The car was the subject of an article in 'The Automobile' magazine in February 1985, I believe the publication has gone out of business but am not certain on this. At this time GYD44 was owned by a Mike Berry who had a business dedicated to R-R restoration in Chester Close, London SW1. (tel 01-235 4613). He apparently did quite a lot of work on her because the photos in the article look stunning.

Sotheby's sold the car on 30th November 1987 for £49,500 which seems a lot of pennies, but I do not know who became the new owner at that time. I bought GYD44 at Coy's auction on 10th December 2001 and had it shipped to Pennsylvania where I live currently.
The seller at the auction was Mr Tony Trahar a resident of South Africa. He had a lot of work done to GYD44 and another R-R he owned by A & S Engineering , Alton, Hants.

I would be very interested in gathering more history about the car from previous owners or anybody with information to impart. Also about the 2 engineering concerns who did the work if they are still in business
